Sylwia holds a Bachelor in Psychology as well as a Masters in Counselling Psychology. With over 15 years of clinical experience in a variety of settings such as schools, hospitals, and the community, Sylwia offers a compassionate and holistic approach to psychotherapy, tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual client. Sylwia provides an eclectic, client-centered approach to counselling, using best-practices and various treatment methods on a highly individualized basis. Sylwia’s counselling approach may include Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Gottman Method Couples Therapy, possesses a Complex Trauma Certification Training from PESI; Interventions from Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Parts Work, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and Polyvagel Theory through PESI, Specialized training working with First Responders and Workplace Mental Health, Mindfulness Based practices, Solution Focused, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Somatic Modality.
