Sheena Singh

Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)

RECE, CICAPP, CRPO

Appointment Methods:

Sheena is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and Registered Early Childhood Educator with more than 10 years of experience working with children, adolescents, young adults, parents, and families in clinical and community-based settings. She is also a graduate of the Canadian Institute of Child and Adolescent Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy.

Sheena supports clients experiencing anxiety, intense emotions, behavioural and school-related challenges, family and relationship difficulties, and major life transitions. She recognizes that it can be difficult to understand what you or your child may be going through and offers a warm, supportive, and non-judgmental space where clients can feel genuinely heard and understood.

Her approach is client-centred and rooted in psychoanalytic, psychodynamic, and attachment-based perspectives. She looks beyond symptoms and behaviours to understand how emotions, relationships, past experiences, culture, identity, and family experiences may be shaping what is happening in the present. She tailors therapy to each client's unique needs, strengths, experiences, and developmental stage.

When working with children, Sheena uses play, games, art, and other creative, child-led activities to help them communicate feelings and experiences that may be difficult to express in words. She also values working collaboratively with parents and caregivers, recognizing their important role in a child's development and emotional well-being. With adolescents and young adults, she uses play- or talk-based therapy to create a collaborative space where clients can explore what is on their minds at their own pace.

At the heart of Sheena's work is the belief that feeling understood and developing a deeper understanding of oneself can be a powerful starting point for meaningful and lasting change.

Sheena works with children ages 1–12, adolescents and young adults ages 13–30, as well as parents and families.
